
Brooks County Trojans Defeat Georgia Christian 6-2

The Trojans snatched the lead late in the game in a 6-2 victory over Georgia Christian on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Brooks County batting in the top of the sixth when Emory Williford singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Nolan Harrell started the game for Brooks County on the mound. Harrell surrendered two runs on three hits over three innings, striking out five. De'Shaun Hayes got the win for the Trojans. The righthander allowed five hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six.
Brooks County totaled 11 hits in the game. Matthew Ferrell, Dallas Leverett, Williford, Ja'Ven Watts, Hayes, Harrell, and Noel Tapia all had hits for the Trojans... Watts, Williford, Leverett, and Ferrell each managed two hits to lead Brooks County.
Region play starts on Tuesday (3/14) at home against Irwin County.
